Follow the Trail to Beautiful Olive Hill, Kentucky!
Join us on May 10th at West Carter High School for a day filled with fun activities. This day will include historic living practices, such as butter-churning, candle-making, baskets, live Appalachian music, food and much more. There will also be a live demonstration of horse-drawn plowing at the WCHS FFA field. This event will last from 11am to 4pm. We hope you will join us on this fun-filled day! This event is sponsered by WCHS Future Farmers of America and Olive Hill Trail Town.
Located in Carter County just off of I-64 Exit 156, Olive Hill is home to exciting outdoor adventures, great food, and rich history. Here you can experience live music, exciting events, kayaking and canoeing on scenic Tygarts Creek, horseback riding, and hiking trails through the gorgeous hills of eastern Kentucky. Breathtaking Carter Caves State Resort Park can be accessed by a short drive, horseback, or moutain bike for guided and unguided subterranean tours.
